Experience/Personal Qualifications: The Sr. Director of Advancement will serve as city manager and chief advancement officer for the New York metropolitan market with primary responsibility for expanding both the size and capacity of the University's major donor prospect pool, with special emphasis on gifts of $100,000 or more; works in partnership with the college/unit advancement officers for maximum effectiveness; partners with the alumni association, marketing communications, and advancement events teams to increase the effectiveness of broad-based engagement activities including alumni and constituent outreach, cultivation events, and annual giving; personally manages a portfolio of major gift prospects; and helps organize, guide, and manage volunteer activity in assigned markets.
