Description of Responsibilities::
Summary: The Director of Mission Advancement will work closely with the Executive Director of Advancement to greatly expand the philanthropic presence of the Wolf Foundation locally and nationally. The Director of Mission Advancement will be the main driver of success of a newly re-imagined Annual Giving Campaign 

Essential Job Functions: 

-        Responsible for execution of giving programs. Drafts, submits for approval, and monitors performance indicators on an annual basis

-        Assist in creating capital campaign plans and time-line that will enhance the Foundation’s ability to support other areas of need within the organization

-        Identify major-giving prospects and create long-lasting relationships that will philanthropically benefit the Foundation

-        Co-manage with the Executive Director any established pooled trust(s) housed within the Foundation

-        Manage the donor database (Donor Perfect) and provide insight into best uses and practices

-        Update contracts within a robust KPI tracking system

-        Plan and implement the agency’s Annual Appeal planning and implementation

-        Identify grant opportunities and work with appropriate department on the application processes

-        Create and provide analytical reports as requested

-        Provide thoughtful insight to the creation of a new advancement plan for the Foundation

-        Partner with the Marketing team to better position the Foundation for success through creative ideas

-        Collaborate with the Executive Director in growing the assets of the Foundation

-        Communicates with community contacts and ensures timely follow up

-        Refer community connections to other agency contacts as needed 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

-        Must be able to make presentations as well as address large and diverse groups

-        Must be able to multi-task, establish priorities, and meet deadlines, as well as work in a collaborative environment.

-        Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with CDS Life Transitions constituents, including staff, individuals, families, vendors, donors, etc.

-        Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

-        Proficient in time-management skills 

-        Knowledgeable in use Social Media platforms and usage 

Education and Experience: 

-        Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. 

-        Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in management and execution of marketing, advancement services, philanthropic management, annual appeals, and/or capital campaign planning, 

-        All experience and education requirements, except when required by federal, state, or local laws or requirements, may be waived at the discretion of management with the approval of the Chief Executive Officer, in collaboration with Human Resources. 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

-        Sedentary working environment

-        Ability to reach above shoulder level.

-        Ability to turn/twist upper body.

-        Able to use hand repetitive action for fine manipulating, keyboarding and typing.
