Description of Responsibilities: The Annual Giving Coordinator is an integral part of Foodlink Development & Marketing team. The position is responsible for the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program, including a coordinated matrix of communication and solicitation strategies—all focused on shaping a sustainable source of philanthropic revenue and future engagement. This person will contribute to and implement the annual fundraising strategy & plan, in partnership with the VP of Development. The plan will include direct mail, recurring giving, workplace giving, and peer-to-peer tactics. They will work collaboratively with members of the Marketing & Development team to provide event, volunteer, and community engagement support as needed.
Annual Fund Coordination: Project-manages the planning and implementation of annual mail and email appeals, with a high degree of customization, emotion, and donor-centric best practices. In partnership with department leadership, implements direct marketing strategies for donor segments including annual, mid/major, recurring, and planned-giving Works in collaboration with VP of Development, Director of Marketing, Communications Specialist, Graphic Designer, Development Coordinator, and direct mail vendor(s) on consistent messaging and communications. Create groups, segmentation and appeal code structures for mailings and invitations, ensuring coding and goals are correctly recorded in CRM for reporting purposes. Generates impact reports and funding requests for annual renewals (corporate and individual) under $5k.
Donor Stewardship: Create and oversee a comprehensive donor stewardship plan, ensuring that gifts and donors at all levels see and feel the impact of their contributions. Monitor the plan and impact on donor retention, adjust annually as needed. Create and mail Year-End Giving Statements and Pledge Payment Reminders for donors. Coordinate and manage volunteers to assist with donor outreach, correspondence, and stewardship activities. Assist with preparation and follow up for department events such as ‘friendraisers.’ Partner with major gifts officer and leadership on planning and implementation of individual donor stewardship activities as required. Assist in the preparation of materials in support of donor meeting. Provides tours and engage donors in meaningful engagement activities at Foodlink as needed/requested.
Data Analytics: Assist with research projects as needed for the purposes of cultivating prospective donors. In partnership with Development Coordinator, establish standard operating procedures, department processes, protocol, and technology use, related to all Annual Fund activities Act as secondary expert on all department databases and online tools (i.e. CRM, Dashboard, etc.). Analyzes donor giving patterns to increase donor retention, upgrades, and conversion rates. Maintain guest lists, gather and prepare materials and other duties as assigned for department fundraising and friendraising events. Serve as a backup person for data gift entry as required for high volume, vacation or vacancy coverages. As a team, achieves weekly, monthly, and annual outreach and revenue goals; documents interactions and appropriate donor information in CRM. Completes all other tasks as assigned by the VP of Development.

Education: Preferred candidates will have Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years’ experience in nonprofit fundraising or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience/Personal Qualifications: Strong self-motivation and the ability to work on a team. Ability to set goals strategically and oversee execution. High level of discretion and ethical approach to fundraising. Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines. Experience deploying creative content through online, print, and email tools. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Windows-based software, including use of the internet and advanced working understanding of Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams; Google suite; Email marketing software such as Constant Contact. Comfort with CRM/database management. Flexibility to attend occasional evening and/or weekend meetings and/or events.
