Description of Responsibilities:
St. John Fisher University is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Associate Director of Student-Alumni Engagement. This pivotal role is essential in developing and executing programs that forge meaningful connections through the student-to-alumni lifecycle, enhancing the student experience and cultivating a vibrant, lifelong alumni network. The Associate Director will work closely with campus partners and the Senior Director of Alumni and Constituent Engagement to identify and implement strategic opportunities that harness the expertise and enthusiasm of our alumni community. Many of these initiatives will connect students with alumni to prepare them for successful careers after graduation, while others will involve alumni in supporting faculty and staff across various university activities.
This role will also focus on alumni early engagement and establishing strong connections with students from their first year through graduation and into their early years as alumni, fostering a deep, lifelong relationship with the University.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills who is committed to nurturing lasting relationships within the University community.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in development/alumni relations, higher education experience, or a related field.
Experience/Personal Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals across various departments and organizational levels.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, LinkedIn, databases, and relevant software to manage and analyze alumni data and engagement metrics.
- Flexibility to adjust your approach or role within the team based on changing needs or dynamics, including being open to feedback and willing to take on different tasks as necessary.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop strategic plans and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage high work volumes, often seasonally.
