Name of Organization: Temple B'rith Kodesh Title of Position: Advancement Coordinator (part-time) Starting Date: 03/17/2025 Salary Range: $40,000-$45,000 Hour: ~20 hours per week Organization Website: www.tbk.org
Description of Responsibilities: Development:
- The Advancement Coordinator will ensure that TBK maintains and executes a plan that engages members, attracts new members, and promotes satisfaction and retention of existing members. Develop/increase a “culture of giving” including identifying ways to attempt to increase ongoing commitments and payments, and encourage planned giving.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward current and prospective donors.
- Oversee preparation of grant proposals and solicitation materials.
- Assist in developing strategies for increased digital interactions, including online giving.
Fundraising:
- Help implement TBK’s development plan including annual giving, special events, direct mail, major gifts, and planned giving to TBK and/or the TBK Foundation.
- Work closely with senior staff and board of trustees to establish funding priorities and provide insight on trends in the philanthropic world that affect temple priorities.
- Serve as staff liaison to any TBK committees involved in fundraising.
- Manage all TBK fundraising events.
Congregant Care:
- Notification of upcoming Yahrzeits (anniversary of passing of relatives).
- Acknowledgement of donations/gifts to TBK and the TBK Foundation.
- Welcoming New Members
- Liaison to Caring Committee
- Maintain a calendar of events and programs.

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience/Personal Qualifications: Experience managing or assisting with development/fundraising activities, preferably in a not-for-profit organizationKnowledge and experience utilizing social media platforms. Preferred: A practical knowledge of the practices, and customs of Reform Judaism, particularly as related to life-cycle events. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain successful professional and personal relationships with members and staff. Articulate speaker with excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
