Description of Responsibilities:
 Bivona Child Advocacy Center seeks a highly organized and detail oriented individual for the position of Development Assistant. This position is responsible for supporting the Director of Development and the development team on development initiatives, including special events, as well as grants management and gift acknowledgements. This position will provide the right candidate with an array of development experience. Successful candidates will have experience planning fundraising events, preparing grants and reports, and will have experience working in a donor database. Candidates should have excellent writing and communication skills and possess integrity and a strong adherence to donor privacy.

Education: High school diploma is required, college degree preferred.
Experience/Personal Qualifications: 
  • Results-oriented professional with a minimum two years professional experience in a not-for-profit environment or related field.
  • Demonstrates the ability to project a professional and knowledgeable image on behalf of Bivona.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities with superior attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Creative thinker who is comfortable juggling multiple tasks and projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Adept at generating and analyzing data related to donor activity
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with many different constituencies. 
  • Mission driven with unquestionable integrity. 
  • Ability to develop and sustain excellent working relationships with individuals, businesses and organizations. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently with teams across the organization. 
  • Must be able to communicate the importance of supporting Bivona's mission.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with MS Office and donor database software required; Raiser's Edge experience preferred. 
  • Ability to travel locally and work flexible hours on nights and weekends.
