Description of Responsibilities:

Bivona Child Advocacy Center seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented individual for the position of Database Assistant. This position is responsible for managing the donor database and software used by the development team. Successful candidates will have experience working in Raiser’s Edge and event software. This includes reporting and analysis of data, as well as managing data import and data entry, data extraction, data quality initiatives, and other related activities.

The Database Assistant will be the lead contact for data analytics, working with key staff and stakeholders across the organization to understand data needs and develop actionable insights. Candidates should have excellent attention to detail and a strong adherence to donor privacy.

The Database Assistant reports to the Director of Development and works closely with the development team and committee members.

This is a part-time position of 20 hours/week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of Raiser’s Edge donor database:
    • Accuracy of constituent records.
    • Elimination and management of duplicate records.
    • Oversight for data accuracy.
    • Ensure all required fields and codes are completed for new constituent records.
    • Understanding and implementing proper financial structure related to campaigns, funds, and appeals.
    • Create queries and exports for mailing lists, email campaigns, fundraising appeals, event invitations, board giving reports, moves management reports, and other fundraising initiatives.
  • Management of all special event software and applications.
    • Accuracy of constituent records.
    • Elimination and management of duplicate records.
    • Update registrations and guest information leading up to special events.
    • Responsible for the setup and structure of storefront items and purchases.
    • Responsible for data entry of mobile auction items and mobile app set up.
  • Develop effective and efficient systems to manage data connections, imports, and transfers between Raiser’s Edge and other software systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Attend required training as necessary.

Education: Results-oriented professional with a minimum of two years of professional experience in a not-for-profit environment or related field. High School diploma is required, college degree preferred.

  • Strong computer skills and experience with MS Office and donor database software required; Raiser’s Edge experience required and Greater Giving experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel locally and work flexible hours on nights and weekends as required.
