Description of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Assistant Director leads the Employee Giving Program for all hospitals and entities across Rochester Regional Health. This person also manages the direct marketing fundraising campaigns for all academic/alumni programs at RRH. S/he is also responsible for the health system’s peer-to-peer fundraising efforts, and promoting and maintaining RRH’s online community fundraising platform, JustGiving. In addition, s/he manages RRH’s United Way campaign communications. Serves as point person for Annual Giving social media presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute comprehensive, multi-channel fundraising campaigns including direct marketing/print collateral, web and digital communications, engagement events, and peer-to-peer fundraising for key areas including Employee Giving, College of Health Careers, residency programs, and the Rochester Medical Museum & Archives.
  • Create and integrate stewardship plans into all programs.
  • Write copy for fundraising communications.
  • Pull lists and run reports from the Raiser’s Edge database and other Foundations reporting tools.
  • Partner with external vendors to execute mailings; serve as project manager.
  • Recruit, train, manage and steward a committee employee volunteers who serve as fundraising “champions”.
  • Present to internal leaders and departments.
  • Promote JustGiving, RRH’s online community fundraising platform, and support volunteer fundraisers with toolkits and other resources
  • Partner with Annual Giving and Donor Engagement teams to steward top peer-to-peer fundraisers and develop strategies for renewing donors.
  • Ensure that all fundraising activities with patients are compliant with all state and federal HIPAA privacy regulations.
  • As a member of the Foundation team, provide support for events and other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Experience/Personal Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years of successful fundraising or related experience
