Description of Responsibilities: St. Ann’s Community is seeking an experienced development professional to join our dynamic Foundation team as a Director of Development. The Director of Development’s primary focus is to seek out opportunities to raise philanthropic funds for the benefit of St. Ann’s Community. This is an exciting time to join the St. Ann’s Foundation, as we are just completing our largest campaign in our history, raising more than $14M. Join us in Caring for the Most Important People on Earth – our elders who call St. Ann’s Community home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Major Gift and Corporate Giving efforts for St. Ann’s Foundation. Includes identifying, researching, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors.
  • Manage a portfolio of current and potential donors to ensure their continued engagement with St. Ann’s Foundation
  • Support Planned Giving and Annual Giving efforts
  • Manage complex relationships with individuals and organizations including community leaders, elected officials and key donors
  • Provide staff support to the Foundation Board and its committees as assigned
  • Adheres to AFP’s Code of Ethics and Donor Bill of Rights
  • Meaningfully engage with Elders by participating in organized engagement programs and relationship building
  • Complies with applicable organizational policies and procedures (ie: mandatory education, health requirement, HR requirements)
  • Demonstrates a commitment of quality through participation on improvement teams & identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Works to improve performance relative to the system’s organizational goals

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience/Personal Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in development/fundraising environment, non–profit, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Broad knowledge of fundraising principles
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Relationship building skills
  • Ability to travel locally
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge software is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite programs
