Description of Responsibilities: St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center provides comprehensive health care, counseling, and social work to individuals and families who lack access to health insurance. Established in 1993, the Center is committed to raising the health status and quality of life of the more than 3,000 clients served each year. This grassroots community-based organization depends heavily for delivery of services on a small paid staff and a corps of over 200 professional and lay volunteers.
This position leads an existing and growing development and communication program that supports this dynamic health outreach organization. The Director is responsible for advancing the mission of the St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center through strategic planning, leadership, and the formation and execution of a comprehensive fundraising and communications plan. The Director is a member of the Centers executive leadership team, and is responsible for building strong relationships with the Centers stakeholders, donors and Board members. The Director reports to the Center’s Executive Director and works closely and in partnership with all program directors and the Board of Directors.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred with focus in marketing, communications or related fields. Experience and transferable skills considered.
- Two to five years relevant development and communication experience
- Prefer candidates with experience in health care advancement and an appreciation for community-based, social justice focused organizations

- This is a full-time position, during the business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with some flexibility to include some evening hours.
