Program Description
In conjunction with AFP Westchester Chapter, the goal of this present
ation is to educate professional fundraisers about the importance of listen
ing and talking during the qualification and cultivations phases of our wor
k. In addition to discussing this topic, we’re able to facilitate a small
number (based on time) of hands-on activities to further drive home the imp
ortance of listening and talking. Leaders within non-profit organizations
spend a great deal of time and energy ensuring that their organization’s mi
ssion and vision are communicated widely and accurately. While that approac
h is effective to build trust within your community, a more personalized ap
proach must be taken when building individual donor relationships. Instead
of communicating to donors and prospects, we must listen and communicate wi
th them to be most effective and to ultimately reach our goal.
