Description of Responsibilities: As a Senior Advancement Specialist at East House, you will play a pivotal role in elevating our fundraising and communications efforts. Reporting to the Associate VP of Advancement, you will contribute to a dynamic team, fostering donor relationships, managing public relations, and executing impactful social media campaigns. Your responsibilities will encompass brand management, community outreach, and internal communications, supporting the organization's mission and growth. Responsibilities Donor Communications & Relationship Development:
- Maintain the customer relationship management database (Bloomerang) for effective donor cultivation.
- Support the Advancement team in data integrity and management, including timely thank-you letters to donors.
- Draft Annual Appeal fundraising campaign letters and analyze metrics post-campaign.
- Manage storytelling and content development, collecting impactful stories from staff, clients, and families.
- Oversee East House’s United Way ROC The Day Campaign and website.
Public Relations & Social Media:
- Plan and execute strategic social media campaigns, emphasizing East House programming and annual events.
- Draft and distribute press releases, coordinating editorial coverage with the CEO and staff.
- Support the annual fundraiser, handling communications, event promotion, and collateral development.
- Manage paid advertising campaigns, media planning, and crisis communications when necessary.
Web & Brand Management:
- Maintain and update the agency website.
- Uphold the East House brand using established guidelines for internal and external materials.
- Act as a liaison with external vendors, including marketing agencies and printers.
Community Outreach & Education:
- Develop culturally appropriate materials and strategies for reaching individuals unaware of East House services.
- Plan and participate in community events, open houses, and special occasions.
- Assist with agency tours and visits by donors, elected officials, and community leaders.
- Collaborate on skill-based volunteer programs and source/train volunteers for annual projects.
Internal Communications:
- Write and produce a regular employee newsletter in collaboration with HR.
- Provide support to leadership with drafting various internal communications.
- Create and maintain digital templates for program collateral and client communications.
- Proofread all Advancement materials before publication.
Other Duties:
- Follow all applicable policies, federal and state laws, and East House compliance standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate VP of Advancement or Chief Advancement Officer

Education:
- Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, Health Education, or Community Engagement.
- 3-5 years of experience in Public Relations, Marketing, or Advertising.
- Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience/Personal Qualifications:
