AFP Global Chapter Support Scholarship

AFP Global understands the economic challenges that current and prospective members face. In response to the current conditions, AFP Global is pleased to announce a new membership scholarship program. The goal of this program is to recruit new members and retain existing members who are unable to afford annual membership dues.

For each scholarship, AFP Global will cover one year of Global’s portion of the member’s dues. 

The Chapter will consider applications from fundraising professionals who meet the following criteria:

  • Candidate is employed by a non-profit organization operating within the greater Rochester area served by the AFP Genesee Valley Chapter.
  • Candidate is primarily responsible for fundraising within the nonprofit organization for which he/she is employed.
  • Demonstrate a financial need. Strong consideration will be given to individuals employed by organizations whose budgets are constrained.
  • Willingness to serve on one AFPGV Committee during the awarded year.
  • Submission of a narrative (250 words or less, letter form) explaining why the candidate is applying for this scholarship. Be sure to describe:
    • Financial need
    • How the scholarship will benefit you and your organization
    • Previous/current involvement or participation with AFP (only for candidates looking to renew their membership)
