Program Overview - Eligible for 2.5 CFRE Education Points

Endowment funds are important tools to help your organization perpetuate its mission and values. Learn how to create and grow an endowment to generate a permanent source of funding for your organization.

Learning Objectives:

  • What are the different types of endowments and how are they structured and administered?
  • What laws govern endowments?
  • How do you identify donors and fundraise for endowments?
  • How do you steward endowed donors?
  • How should endowments be invested and spent?
  • How do you select an investment advisor and evaluate your portfolio?
This workshop is targeted to interested employees, board members, or committee members of an organization that:
  • Does not have an endowment but wants to start one.
  • Has an endowment but has not made a concerted effort to grow and optimize those funds.
  • Has an established endowment, but who would like to learn more about the fundamentals of growing and managing those funds.
