Creating Inclusion for LGBTQ+ Donors, Staff, and Stakeholders

Program Overview
Nonprofit organizations must be dedicated to serving their community, building engagement opportunities, and advancing equity in parallel with their missions. Despite national attacks on LGBTQ+ rights, more and more people are celebrating their identities and identifying as LGBTQ+ with 1 in 5 GenZers identifying as LGBTQ +. Even though many nonprofits recruit and engage LGBTQ+ donors and staff, many have much room for improvement toward authentic inclusion. Many LGBTQ+ people in the community still face discrimination, bias, stigma, and other issues preventing inclusive engagement and employment in the sector.

In this webinar, LGBTQ+ fundraising and inclusion strategists, Jonathan Meagher-Zayas and Ali Kane, will provide you with the understanding and skills to better recruit, cultivate and retain LGBTQ+ donors, staff, and other stakeholders.

After this webinar, attendees will be able to:
  • Discover the opportunities and challenges facing LGBTQ+ professionals in the nonprofit sector
  • Learn how to assess your organization for LGBTQ+ growth needs
  • Identify strategies on how to increase inclusion for both your LGBTQ+ donors, staff, and other stakeholders
At the end of the webinar, the facilitators will raffle off 1 hour each of consulting time to support your organization in implementing some of the strategies.

This webinar will be held via Zoom Meeting and the link will be available on the day of the event. Live captions will be available. If you have any accessibility needs, please contact, [email protected]. The webinar will be recorded and a recording will be sent to only the participants who signed up for the webinar.
